Even with August being an extremely hot month, we’ve gotten some great things done at the ranch with the help of volunteer work groups!
Earlier this month, Chris Macias and Command Squadron COMDESRON 40 joined us at the ranch for a work day. These great folks managed to help us put shade cloths up, paint around the ranch, and get some of our lumber ready for new kitty kabins!
Then, Molly Moran and her work group from Advent Software and Black Diamond Company came out to spend a great day with us! With their help, we were able to fix some of our gates (minor repairs) and put new sod down.
And, finally, we had Judy Spain and her group from Iron Mountain come out to spend a rainy day at Catty Shack. Even with all the rain, and the mud that comes with it, they were able to help us with plenty of work throughout the ranch.
A big “thank you” to all of the groups that came out for work days at the ranch. Everything you do, no matter how big or how small, affects the residents, volunteers, and guests at Catty Shack and we would not be the same without you!
If you have a volunteer or corporate group that you think would enjoy setting up a work day with us, please contact us!
