Hours for 2015

Sunday, February 8th, 2015 0 COMMENTS

Did you know we have new hours for 2015? You can now join us EVERY FRIDAY and SATURDAY for Night Feedings! Night Feedings are a great time to come out and see the “wild side” of our residents. You haven’t seen anything like it anywhere else! Gates open at 6:00 PM and the last admittance is at 7:15 PM. The feeding begins at 7:30 PM, but we suggest arriving by 6:30 PM to make sure you have enough time for a full guided tour before the feeding.

We’ll also be open EVERY THURSDAY for Daytime Tours. Gates open at 1:00 PM and last admittance is at 3:15 PM. Since our animals are mostly nocturnal, you’ll see the kitties sleeping with their bellies in the air and showing how sweet they can look. (Don’t let that fool you, though!)

Once a month we will be open on one Sunday for DAYTIME TOURS and ENRICHMENTS. Just like other Daytime Tours, gates open at 1:00 PM and last admittance is at 3:15 PM. However, at 3:15 PM our enrichment team will also be giving out fun toys for the cats…they love to wake up and play with their surprises!

Keep an eye on our website for special tour dates, including spring break.

lionarkAnimal lovers of all ages are going to want to see Animal Defenders International’s new movie, Lion Ark! Lion Ark will be screened at the Cinema Verde Film Festival on Saturday, February 14 at 1:00 PM. Tickets are $12 and may be purchased online. More action adventure than traditional documentary, Lion Ark follows the enforcement of Bolivia’s band on animal circuses. Circuses that defy the law are tracked down, animals saved, and in the joyous finale, 25 lions are airlifted to freedom. Lion Ark’s narrative is compiled from film, interviews, conversations and reactions as events unfolded.

TigerThank you so much to everyone who has donated their Christmas trees! The response has been incredible and the cats will be in pine heaven. At this time, we have received enough trees to last us until spring. Thank you again and please think of us next year!!

As we go into the new year, we would love for everyone to continue to show their support. We’re asking everyone to donate just $1 to help our animals. Remember, all donations are tax-deductible! Your donations will help us work towards our goal of purchasing 100+ acres of land, as well as provide the top-quality care for our animals (including food, supplements, enrichments, medical care, etc.).
